POINTE

The following consists of information on the variety of pointe shoes carried in the store, as well as, other shoes that can be ordered. Other questions can be answered by trying the shoes on one's feet.

LOW: Good for a dancer with short toes.

HOW LONG THE WINGS ARE:

MEDIUM: Good for a dancer with an average foot.

LOW: Good for a dancer with short toes.

HOW HARD OR SOFT THE WINGS ARE:

HARD: Good for a dancer with flexible arches, long metatarsals, or breaks down their pointe shoe box quickly.

MEDIUM: Good for a dancer with an average bone and muscular structure of the foot.

SOFT: Good for a dancer with short toes or painful bunions.

CROWN HEIGHT: The thickness of the box area. This part of the shoe goes from the bottom of the outer sole to the top of the box. It refers to the thickness of the dancer's foot from the bottom of the foot to the top.

HIGH: Good for a dancer with a thick, muscular foot.

AVERAGE: Good for a dancer with average thickness.

FLAT: Good for a dancer with a very thin foot.

3/4 SHANK: This style shoe has a ¾ Shank in stead of a full shank for dancers whose arches break higher than middle point.
